ABOUT RAAGCOS

The Home of the Royal and Ancient Game...in Somerville!

At a Pizzeria Uno's that was not in Somerville, six guys that were anything but royal hoisted a few and discussed an idea.  Thanks to an MGA rule that allowed for golf clubs without real estate, a brand-spanking new golf club without real estate was born -- the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of Somerville.

Since that meeting in 1998, RAAGCOS has become a club of close to 50 members that play in monthly tournaments all across eastern Massachusetts.  Members compete for the season-long tour championship, as well as participate in match play tournaments run concurrently to determine our club champions.  Plenty of members, though, just enjoy playing a few rounds a year with good company and friendly competition.
